Outdoor Oasis in Crestwood

This Crestwood backyard was transformed from the ground up. We cleared the existing yard and started fresh, so every part of the outdoor space would work together.

The anchor of the new layout is a large covered back patio, finished with a warm, stained V-groove pine ceiling. It gives the family a shaded place to gather and makes the backyard usable for most of the year.

Much of the most important work is out of sight. We overhauled the home’s electrical system, including a new panel, rewiring of the house and burying the overhead power line. That cleared the way for a new pool, which now sits at the heart of the backyard.

The old garage became a pool house built for entertaining. It now has an outdoor full bathroom and an entertaining area with a hidden pop-up door that keeps it tucked away until it’s time to open things up. We kept the rest of the garage space, which now serves as a putting green and golf simulator.

Nearly every part of this property was touched, and the result is a backyard made for hosting. From summer pool days to evenings on the patio, it’s a space this family can share with the people they love, and a great example of how Hurley House Co. brings a whole-property vision to life.
